Region Mersin is different from the rest of Turkiye  because of the long swimming season and soft climate. Mountains Toros is protecting Mersin from the northern winds, cold and dirty air mass flow from the mainland. National park Toros with coniferous forests, citrus orchards, vineyards, make the air especially clean, rich and fresh. Cyprus, which is located in 80 km from Mersin, is protecting Mersin from the winds from the sea and cold currents. Mersin is located in the lagoon of the Mediterranean Sea.

 The annual temperature varies from +12-17 degrees in winter and +28-33 in summer. The sea breeze in the first half of the day goes from the sea to the mountains, where the humidity condenses and it can rain in the mountains, in the afternoon cool air moves from the mountains towards the sea. Such air circulation ensures the absence of high humidity and heat in the summer months.
