New Mersin - Antalya highway

Mersin on the high-speed highway: a road connecting hearts and shores.

Imagine: a picturesque Mediterranean coastline, ancient cities and modern resorts, and between them - a modern highway, like a silver ribbon, connecting hearts and shores. This dream of the residents of Mersin and the whole of Turkey will soon become a reality!

The Adana - Tarsus - Mersin - Çeşmeli - Erdemli - Kızkalesi - Silifke - Taşucu highway project, which will later connect to the road along the Mediterranean coast, is in full swing. The Minister of Transport personally monitors the progress of the work, and life is bustling on the construction sites: 1330 workers and 204 units of equipment are working tirelessly, and their number will soon increase to 3000 people and 500 machines, respectively.

53 kilometers of innovation and comfort.
This ambitious project is not just 42 kilometers of main road and 11 kilometers of adjoining roads. It is a solution to the long-standing problem of traffic congestion on the highway, especially on the section to Kızkalesi. Travel time will be reduced from 2.5 hours to an incredible 18-20 minutes! Imagine how much time and effort this road will save, how it will affect the development of tourism, agriculture and industry in the entire region!

Tunnels through mountains, viaducts over valleys.
Construction is underway on several sections simultaneously, in the difficult conditions of mountainous terrain. A tunnel is being built in Ayaş, and work does not stop even on weekends. Soon, three tunnels and two viaducts will be put into operation on the Mersin-Aydoğmuş section. In parallel, the construction of the Mersin-Anamur highway is being completed, the final chord of which will be an 11-kilometer tunnel between Anamur and Gazipaşa.

Closer to the dream.
The new highway will significantly reduce the distance between Mersin, Alanya and Antalya. Currently, the road from Mersin to Antalya takes about 7 hours and 20 minutes (482 km), and to Alanya - 5.5 hours (330 km). With the new highway, the journey to Antalya will take only 5 hours, saving almost 2.5 hours!
