Preparations have begun for the opening of Çukurova Airport, the completion of which the residents of Mersin have been waiting for 13 years.
It became known that Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu will arrive in Mersin on Saturday and inspect the airport.
It was reported that Minister Uraloglu may announce the exact opening date of the airport after verification.
MAY OPEN BEFORE TEKNOFEST!
Sources close to the ministry believe the airport will be ready for planes to land and take off in time for Technofest, which will be held in Adana in October.
Accordingly, the ministry's goal is to complete all preparations within 3 months and open the airport with a ceremony attended by President Tayyip Erdogan.
