The launch of ferries between Turkish Trabzon and Russian Sochi is planned for May 1 after a nine-year break, Erkut Celebi, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Trabzon Province, said on Saturday.
“We plan to sign agreements on the launch of a ferry service on April 6. A ferry for 300 people will be used on the Sochi-Trabzon line. It will be able to transport (also - ed.) 200 cars, six buses, 12 containers. Flights will begin on May 1, the gateway to Russia will be open,” Yeni Akit newspaper quotes Celebi as saying.
