What property taxes must be paid annually in Turkey?

Annual Property Tax in Turkey (Emlak Vergisi):

• residential real estate - 0.1-0.2% of the cadastral value
• commercial - 0.2–0.4%

Tax is paid:

• until the end of May
• until the end of November (can be paid in one payment for the year)

In Mersin the cadastral value is low, therefore:

• The average tax is about 1,000 lira per year (≈ 20 euros)

The tax is paid from the following year after receiving the TAPU, regardless of the stage of construction.
