INCOME MERSIN answer

Does purchasing real estate in Turkey give the right to a residence permit or citizenship?

When purchasing one residential property in Turkey with a cadastral value of at least USD 200,000, the owner and his first-line family (spouses and minor children) have the opportunity to obtain a Category B residence permit in Turkey (based on ownership) for a period of 2 years with subsequent extension and the prospect of obtaining Turkish citizenship after 5 years.

By purchasing one or more properties in Turkey with a total cadastral and assessed value of at least $400,000, the owner and their immediate family (spouses and minor children) can obtain Turkish citizenship under a simplified program. The property subject to citizenship is encumbered for three years (it cannot be sold for three years). Citizenship is issued within 6-12 months.
