The region (region) Mersin is the only seismically safe region in Turkey, which makes it the most suitable and comfortable for living and investment. The absence of seismic activity is evidenced by thousands of architectural monuments of the Hittite, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman eras. Most of the monuments are 1000 – 2500 years old. The first skyscraper in Turkey in 1987 - 177 meters, 52 floors, was built in the Mersin region according to seismic safety indications.
